St. Thomas Aquinas High School Is Prepared to Safely Welcome All Students Back

After a difficult several months dealing with the challenges of COVID-19, we are looking forward to the upcoming school year and reuniting with our students and faculty. We are committed to re-opening St. Thomas Aquinas High School on a full-time, regular schedule, and providing students with the academic, extracurricular and spiritual opportunities that contribute to a rewarding educational experience. Thankfully, our school building is exceptionally large and allows us to comfortably educate our students while allowing for social distancing.

Rest assured that we are taking all precautions to provide a safe environment. We are redesigning classrooms, the cafeteria and other spaces to accommodate social distancing. In addition, we have formulated procedures and policies that will support appropriate practices.

If Gov. Murphy mandates school closings, we will implement a virtual learning plan, created by a collaborative task force of our teachers and administrators, that focuses on engagement, accountability and consistency.

Also, we are pleased to announce we have purchased a fleet of six buses, bringing our total number to ten. With these vehicles, we will be able to offer reliable busing to all of our students, regardless of whether individual public school districts are unable to offer transportation.

Within the next week, we will release detailed plans on our social and safety distancing procedures, as well as our comprehensive Virtual Learning Plan.

In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Ziegler at if you have any questions or suggestions regarding our back-to-school plans.

We can’t wait to see you in September! May God bless you and continue to keep you healthy and safe.
